Our Journey

Elevate ADK’s Cannabis journey began in 2014 when Doug Butdorf, alongside friends and investors, embarked on a mission to advocate fair cannabis regulations that led to the inception of North Country Roots, Inc. Despite facing challenges in the initial licensing process, our determination never wavered.

In 2022, the passing of the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA) marked a turning point, paving the way for us to secure a Conditional Adult Use Retail License.

By January 2023, with the invaluable addition of Eli Emery to our team, we were ready to launch the Elevate ADK Cannabis Dispensary. We proudly opened our doors for delivery in May 2023 and in-store sales in October 2023, establishing ourselves as the first licensed and tax-paying marijuana dispensary in the North Country.

  Fantastic selection, the people at the front desk are attentive and will help you out almost immediately. Although I recommend you go onto their online shop and decide what you want before you walk in because it's a small store and they like to do things quick there from my experience.
Loved the guy that helped me out, he was very specific and guided me through my decisions, he also made sure I had the tools to smoke the cartridges I was buying.

Overall, very quick, very efficient, and very educated staff. I'll be running some more money through your business more in the future.

  I just recently made my 2nd visit to this store, hoping it was a better experience than the first. Unfortunately that was not the case. Both times the flower was extremely dry, literally crumbling in the baggie and both times the staff were rude. I arrived 30 min before closing and an employee started sweeping the floor as I was looking at some of the displays. Dirt and who knows what else was being swept onto my pants and I could hear the sand hitting the display I was looking at. Sorry but that’s disgusting. Customers are paying good money to buy from this establishment to avoid driving an hour+ to the reservation. Maybe the employees need some etiquette training or just some life lessons on how to be a decent person? I’m sorry to have to make this review but on a positive note, the store is very clean and looks beautiful inside. I hope my next experience is better as I still believe in giving people more than a couple chances.

  I was in the store last week. Andrew waited on me. He was rude and condescending. I went in today and he treated me even worse than the last time I was in there. For the amount they are charging for the products one would hope that you would get some type of respect and or customer service. Last week I asked him if he was in a bad mood he said no this is how we always acts. The same product that I requested last week and again this week was sold out and it wasn’t marked as sold out. I asked him why and he said whatever. Elevate Adk just lost a guaranteed $1200 a month worth of business based on their ridiculous prices in my consumption. I’d rather take the ride and spend the gas money to go up to the reservation. At least they treat me with respect and the product is just as good.
